We met Aurora in previous books in the series. The heat is turned way down in this book, but the humour has definitely been turned up. I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review. It would have been nicer if it was developed a little bit more. The only downside is that what happens with her mentor at the end of the book happens too fast. I don't know why but I laughed way too much when I read it. I really liked how Aurora tried to find a logical explanation about what was going on and how it was possible to fall in love at first sight. This was another cute stories in the Silver Springs world. Aurora doesn't trust them nor the magic that pulled them together, but she needs to open her mind if she wants the happy-ever-after that she had always dreamed. But what Aurora doesn't expect is for 3 objects that she bought at the gas station to turn into shifters who also happen to be her mates. They both think that the city belongs to a cult, and they want to find the ringleader.
Though I do hope that we see more of Aurora as she brought something different to this town.Īurora is a psychologist sent by her mento to investigate Silver Springs. The nice little twist at the end was the perfect way to see this town off for now since we are nearly at the end of this season. It threw me off a little but then it's Silver Spring and anything goes. Her mates were surprisingly adaptable given the circumstances and I was really surprised they weren't shocked by the chain of events. Aurora isn't someone that close minded but even she is forced to changed her ways and learn how to co-exist in this new unfamiliar world. She is adopted by some familiar faces and becomes a face that is welcome by everyone. There is an unwritten code between the supernaturals and Aurora pretty much destroys it in her own way.
Aurora's arrival in Silver Spring is crazy to say the least and leads us on an interest journey. Taking elements of previous plots lines and creating her own harem. Marstens first foray in this world fits the brief perfectly.
